Jim Kempner is a seasoned real estate professional and a managing partner at Kempner Properties, with over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate. Along with his brother Peter, Jim has been instrumental in shaping Kempner’s philosophy with respect to acquisition, financing, management, and leasing of its portfolio. The company’s hands-on approach and direct involvement in every aspect of the business have resulted in a low-leveraged portfolio with over 95% occupancy. Jim’s expertise in acquiring properties at or below replacement cost has been critical in ensuring that Kempner purchases properties with rents that are at or below market levels, providing protection during difficult leasing market periods. Jim attended Ithaca College and is a member of The International Council of Shopping Centers.
